| Columbia Law School Professor Eben Moglen was recently interviewed by Forbes magazine. I doubt many of you know him but without him this site wouldn't exist. Nor would any of the third-party firmware currently out there. In 2003, he forced Cisco to "... play by the rules" and release their source code. The article talks about how the FCC is concerned about third-party firmware that creates mesh networks. It also calls the WRT54G what the "Model A Ford was for hotrodders in an earlier era--a highly adaptable platform for experimentation". |
